How many times can I come?
As much as you’d like. The more the better!
Do you offer childcare?
We do not; however, many fitness members with children often find confidence in allowing them to sit in the lobby with homework or electronic entertainment during their workout. Some even enroll their children into our taekwondo classes at our multi-room facilities so that mom/dad can workout while their children train too.
How do you handle modifying for an injury?
It is important that you first inform the instructor about your physical limitations due to injury. From there, they can assist you in coming up for modifications during the workout that will still challenge your fitness level, but accomodate your injury.
Do I need to know martial arts?
You do not need to know martial arts prior to starting. You may gain some knowledge of techniques throghout your fitness journey, though.
Can I take classes at other locations too?
Yes! With 10 valley-wide locations, you are able to take advantage of any fitness class at any Lee’s ATA location offering this program. We do ask that you give the campus you’d like to try a call prior to visiting, though, so that they are prepared to accomodate you as a guest.
Should I come to a beginner class first?
Some of our locations may offer a beginner class from time-to-time as a special event; however, most will request that you just join in on their regularly scheduled classes and scale/modify to meet your fitness level. We do ask that you call us in advance to let us know you’re coming in for the first time so that an instructor can meet with you beforehand to go over safety, techniques, expectations, etc.
What should I bring?
Water, a sweat towel, and bag gloves/handwraps if you own them. If not, we do have them available for sale ($5 for wraps). Shoes are optional; some people prefer to workout barefoot on our padded mat floors. Wear clothes that you are comfortable working out in that are appropriate for any kind of jumping, squatting, burpees, etc.
What should I do to prepare for my first class?
Call us to let us know you’re coming. Hydrate throughout the day prior to your class. Arrive 15 minutes before the start time to get a tour, meet the instructor, sign your waiver, and so on. Talk to your friends and see if someone would like to join you since working out with friends is always more fun! The hardest part of trying something new is making the committment to begin.
Is it a membership or can I pay month-to-month?
We offer a membership plan or drop-in pricing as well.

Paradise Valley: $50/month
Buckeye: $30/month
Tempe: $75/month

Do you offer any discounts? What about a referral program?

Current members receive a $25 credit for each person they refer that joins our program.
Can I ever become a fitness instructor myself?
Yes! We typically offer two certification courses per calendar year that will equip you to teach at our facilities. Currently, there are no remaining 2018 certifications scheduled; however, we will be releasing the 2019 schedule this fall.
